On the Canada Revenue Agency website you can view and manage your personal income tax information by registering with the “My Accounts” program on their website. Once you have completed the registration process you will be able to:
1. See it online – view prior year tax returns, notices of accessments, account balance, statement of accounts, RRSP contribution limit; check the status of your return and the status of your refund.
2. Do it online – update your address, telephone number, direct deposit information; set up a pre-authorized payment plan for past amounts owing and authorize a representative.
This program could save you and your accountant time by eliminating the need to call the Canada Revenue Agency.
